

The Reverend Doctor Alice Wade Davis grew up in Kinston, NC where she graduated from North Lenoir High School. She graduated from University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, NC in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion. In fall 2002, Alice entered Duke University Divinity School, and she graduated in 2005 with a Master of Divinity degree. She began serving at Jefferson UMC as a field student in Goldsboro, NC while studying there. Upon graduation, she was appointed Pastor of Urban Ministries within that congregation and also the youth pastor in 2006. In 2009 she added Chaplain of Louisburg College to her resume, while continuing to serve as the Associate Pastor at Jefferson. Rev. Davis became the Senior Pastor of Asbury UMC in July 2015. She returned to Duke Divinity School in fall 2015 to pursue a Doctor of Ministry program. Alice then served as the Associate Pastor at Mount Pisgah UMC in Greensboro, NC.
Pastor Alice enjoys a rich family life consisting of three children – Carol Crawford of Columbus, GA, Captain Jacoby Michael Davis, of Michigan, and Attorney, Tamaya Davis Franks of Greensboro.
